Station life
The Tutor is welcome to be part of our family and participate in life around the property outside school time.  Please ask us if you would like to participate in anything as sometimes we forget to offer.  Any help offered is always welcome. 
 
Social life
We have a lot of governesses and young people in our area. If the family is attending a function or social event we will endeavor to include the Tutor where possible.  Occasionally you may be required to supervise the kids on weekends or overnight.

Job Duties
Home Tutor of 3 children, a boy in Year 3, a girl in Year 1 and a girl in eKindy.
Duties:
Prepare and organise the weekly program and schoolroom. 
Supervise the children's work and help/guide as required (but do not do the work for them).
 We aim to have as much ‘face to face’ experience with the child/children’s class as possible and will attend as many camps, workshops, mini-schools etc. as possible.  You will be expected to supervise and support our child/children as necessary during these outings. 
Must have a positive and happy attitude to the children and their education.
Organised, motivated and energetic qualities are a must
Supervise and support kids at any school or outside events
Assist with domestic duties around house
Be flexible with school during busy times
Flexible with school to suit your and our social, holiday and family engagements.
 
 
 
This position may include some childcare at various busy times.  We also prefer a commitment by a Tutor to stay to the end of the school year as this continuity is better for the children.
 
 
Schoolroom

The schoolroom is in the main house.  All kids have their own desks and computers for their lessons.  It has large window to provide natural light and is air conditioned. I do encourage that a theme is created during the term or semester to give the room a positive vibe.
 
Accommodation
A shared 2-bedroom cottage.   It is shared with our other staff member.
 
All linen is supplied but can use own if preferred. The cleaning and garden/yard care of the cottage is the responsibility of its residences.  The house also has access its own satellite box for television and has a Telstra tower for phone coverage.
 
Hours of work
7.30-5.00 Monday to Friday
All prep for the upcoming week to be completed prior to the weekend.
 
Home Tutor is encouraged to include extracurricular activities for the children, i.e. cooking, science experiments, physical exercise.
 
Meals
Home Tutor is to provide their own breakfast, lunch and evening meals.  Smokos are had at the house with the family.  Tutor is to provide own meals of a weekend. Meat and basic ration(vegetables, fruit, bread)  supplied.  Some days the Tutor may be required to supervise meals if I am not available.
 
Mail
Twice a week mail is delivered from Clermont.  Tutor is responsible for getting school work ready for post.

Telephone
A mobile phone connection is supplied in cottage.   Phone in schoolroom is to be used only for school matters during school hours unless otherwise negotiated.
 
Internet
Satellite Internet access in the schoolroom to be negotiated.
 
Remuneration
 
We will be employing you through the In Home Care scheme.  We will support you with information about this upon application.
 
 
Salary Package Valued at $810
 
* Gross Pay per week       $ 660.00
 
* Fringe Benefits provided by employer valued at $150 per week

Transport
When necessary to attend school function and some social functions nearby tutor will be transported with the family as room in vehicle allows. If supervisor uses own vehicle to attend school function, they will be reimbursed for fuel if appropriate.
